The purpose of this role is to make outbound telephone calls within a targeted database of potential NGC customers. The primary driver is to generate new business sales appointments for Sales Consultants to attend.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To proactively contact a targeted database on a scheduled basis to maximise all sales opportunities and to generate sales appointments for Sales Consultants to attend.
  • To manage the targeted database spotting opportunities, understanding competitor activities and gaining knowledge of ongoing and future business requirements.
  • To build customer relationships and to develop new contacts within the database for sales targeting.
  • To maintain and update the customer database records, ensuring accurate information to support ongoing sales campaigns.
  • To build team working relationships with Sales Consultants, passing leads where customers' requirements are outside of your remit.
  • To achieve personal targets and objectives set.
  • To build and develop competitor knowledge to maximise gross profit and grow the NGC customer base.

PERSONAL QUALITIES, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will ideally have at least 1 years experience in an outbound telephone sales environment and hold a proven track record of achievement against target.

Ideally experience will have been gained within the Telecoms/Datacoms/IT industry. Your well developed interpersonal skills will ensure you are confident about making new contacts and developing business relationships with potential NGC customers.

You will be skilled at fully qualifying opportunities and have the ability to close sales calls with an appointment. A high level of personal drive, motivation and the desire to succeed against challenging appointments targets is essential.

In addition to this you must be a strong team player with a logical approach to problem solving and a willingness to learn new markets, products and services.
